CS Principles Professional Learning Opportunity
URI is a Code.org Regional Partner and we are seeking educators who would like to teach Code.org's CS Principles curriculum in Rhode Island! This is a unique opportunity for teachers to attend a virtual Code.org week-long Summer 2022 workshop conducted by RI facilitators, and receive additional PD throughout the 2022/23 school year.
Successful completion of this PD qualifies you for the RIDE Computer Science Educator Endorsement.
Scholarship funding from CS4RI is anticipated in Summer 2022 for most teachers accepted into the program to attend the PD at no cost.
If there is a cost for PD, URI will notify you well before the start of the PD, and you will have the option to withdraw.

College credit for High School Students
RI educators successfully completing this PD will become eligible to offer this course for concurrent enrollment!
2022/23 PD Schedule
URI offers one PD training for the 2022/23 school year. It is comprised of a 5-day virtual summer workshop, eight follow-up meetings (after school ~1.5 hrs) throughout the 2022/23 school year, and some additional online training. Those doing this PD must attend all sessions in this schedule. This program earns a total of 60 PLU hours.
