AP Computer Science Principles Course Professional Development

CS Principles Professional Learning Opportunity

URI is a Code.org Regional Partner and we are seeking teachers who would like to teach Code.org's CS Principles curriculum in Rhode Island! This is a unique opportunity for teachers to attend a virtual Code.org week-long Summer 2021 workshop conducted by RI facilitators, and receive additional PD throughout the 2021/22 school year.

  • Through funding from CS4RI, scholarships will be made available for most teachers accepted into this program to attend the PD at no cost.
  • If you don’t meet the scholarship requirements to attend at no cost, someone will be in touch to discuss the program fee, which is still being determined given new budget considerations.

RI educators successfully completing this PD will become eligible to offer this course for concurrent enrollment. See the Concurrent Enrollment Program for details on student requirements.
