URI is a Code.org Regional Partner and we are seeking teachers who would like to teach Code.org's CS Principles curriculum in Rhode Island and Connecticut! This is a unique opportunity for teachers to attend Code.org's national TeacherCon in Summer 2018 and receive additional PD from URI throughout the 2018/19 school year.
RI educators successfully completing this PD will become eligible to offer this course for concurrent enrollment. See the Concurrent Enrollment Program for details on student requirements.
Contact email@example.com if you have any questions. The application process for 2018/19 has closed. The application process for 2019/20 will open in early 2019.
URI offers one PD training for the 2018-19 school year. It is comprised of a 5-day Code.org summer workshop, four follow-up meetings throughout the 2018/19 school year, and some additional online training. Those doing this PD must attend all sessions in this schedule.
